How long have we worked together?

Jockey Club Catering was formed in 2009 to provide outstanding catering, hospitality and customer service at all of The Jockey Club’s racecourses nationwide 


Jockey Club Catering has a portfolio of 15 racecourses delivering over 333 race days a year and catering to an estimated 1.92 million racegoers plus 128,000 non-raceday guests a year.

Jockey Club Catering operate at The Jockey Club’s flagship Cheltenham Racecourse during The Festival™ in March, the catering operation doubles in size with the build of the tented village, housing 27 marquee structures including the longest triple deck temporary structure in Europe.

Over the four days of the event, Jockey Club Catering operate 15 restaurants and 620 private boxes serving over 40,000 four-course hospitality meals from 34 production kitchens. More than 60% of these operations take place in temporary structures including the prestigious Chez Roux restaurant and private boxes where world-renowned chef Albert Roux is master of the menu.

Operating at many of racing’s blue ribbon events, Jockey Club Catering delivers exceptional race day experiences through expanding its variety of food and drink offerings and service styles.

Jockey Club Catering continues to deliver their long-term strategy which stands on the four pillars of: great people; culinary and beverage development; customer service; and growth. This is guiding Jockey Club Catering to fulfil its stated aim of providing ‘Legendary Experiences’ to all customers, on all occasions.


Over 30 new food and drink concepts have been launched since the beginning of 2016, including; The Hyperion, a pop-up aimed at 25-50 year olds bringing together live entertainment, mixologists and food; Moet & Chandon Dining Experience, pairing champagne, fine dining and horseracing; Great British Picnics; Purely Prosecco, pop-up concept developed by Jockey Club Catering working with Bisol and Bibendum, which is now used across the group; innovative ‘Click & Collect’ app, which is now being used at seven of Jockey Club racecourses.

  • In 2016, Jockey Club Catering sold 9,000 units of Prosecco, in 2017 over 12,500 have been sold
  • Since launching in 2016, over 13k orders have been placed through the Click & Collect apps.

Jockey Club Catering success has been recognised through numerous award wins, including, The coveted RCA Food & Beverage Award, Jockey Club Catering won five accolades at the NRCA Awards and Jockey Club Catering’s general manager at Newmarket Racecourse was named as one of the most promising stars in the hospitality industry in The Caterer’s prestigious Acorn Awards.
