In 2014 Glyndebourne, the world famous opera house, marked its 80th anniversary while catering partner Leith's celebrated its 30 year partnership at the eponymous Sussex estate.

Leith's, the heritage brand of Levy Restaurants UK, has been the catering partner at the Sussex estate since 1984.

Glyndebourne’s Festival is the quintessential summer event and a blue riband occasion in the social season which sees over 98,000 opera guests enjoy world class performances over the fourteen week festival. Maximising the guest experience, Leith's oversees the needs of visitors from picnics and luxurious cream teas to high-end, haute cuisine.

With a joint mission to champion regional produce and endorse wider corporate social responsibilities, our menus have been created using local suppliers where possible, while also working to minimise food miles and waste.

Throughout the 77 performances at the festival, over 28,000 afternoon teas are served along with 36,000 dinners and 5,000 picnics. Overseen by our executive chef Julian Wilson, menus feature perennial favourites of asparagus, rack of lamb and rhubarb with a modern twist.

Throughout the festival, guests can enjoy dining at a variety of restaurants including Middle & Over Wallop, Nether Wallop and Mildmay. In keeping with the demand for less structured dining, sharing tables have been introduced and a large online presence has been created to enable pre-orders.
